Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy can help individuals overcome pain from their pasts and develop coping strategies for the future. It can also help a person define their goals, clarifying who they are and what they want out of life. Psychotherapy can provide a safe place to explore one's emotions and behaviors, learn skills to help cope with difficult emotions and situations, and promote one’s self-esteem, relationships, and outlook on life.
I approach therapy from an attachment-focused and trauma informed perspective. I draw from Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, ego-state work, EMDR, and existential/insight oriented approaches.
Perinatal Mental Health
The perinatal time presents unique challenges: dealing with Infertility, perinatal anxiety and mood disorders, as well as perinatal loss and stillbirth. Whether struggling with conception, coping with all of the "what-if's" of pregnancy, making sense of a difficult labor, navigating relationship dynamics, or managing the daily tasks of parenthood, it is important to feel supported along your journey.
I draw from Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ego-state work, and EMDR, looking through an attachment-focused and trauma informed lens.
Couples
Difficult conflict, different communication styles, lack of commitment and trust, experiencing life changes, can push couples away from one another. Couples therapy can help you clarify your feelings about your relationship, deepen intimacy and connection, help resolve relationship roadblocks before they become an impasse, and can lead to greater self-awareness and personal growth.
I utilize Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy to guide you in a path to greater understanding and connection with yourself, as well as with your partner.
NOTE: Currently I am only offering couples therapy via telehealth for those navigating infertilityy, loss, pregnancy and postpartum.
